How Ascend works
Ascend is a place to find early startups and launch their tokens on Robinhood Chain. This page covers what you can do in the product.
Get started
You can browse without a wallet. Connecting one lets you launch, trade, and claim fees or vested tokens.
Ascend asks your wallet to use Robinhood Chain. Supported wallets include MetaMask, Rabby, Coinbase Wallet, Rainbow, and WalletConnect.
Keep some ETH on Robinhood Chain for network gas. That is true even when a token trades against a stock or ETF.
Discover startups
The home page lists live launches. Search by name or ticker, or narrow the list by category. Open a startup to read its pitch, price, chart, and launch terms.
A token page shows the product story beside the market. Price, holders, and volume come from on-chain activity. Claimed creator fees appear as creator earnings once they have been collected.
Finding a startup early is a chance to learn about it. It is not a forecast of what the token or the business will do next.
Launch a token
Create lives at /create. Drafts save as you go. Nothing is published until you sign the launch in your wallet.
Tell the story
Add a name, ticker, category, and short description. A website, founder name, and token utility are optional. Token images accept PNG, JPEG, or WebP files up to 2 MB.
Shape the launch
Choose the asset people trade against and the asset you earn fees in. Those two choices are independent. Set supply, starting market cap, team allocation, and the unlock period.
Review and sign
Check the distribution, fee split, and any upfront purchase. If you buy at launch with a stock or ETF, your wallet may ask for an approval first, then the launch transaction.
| Setting | Range | Starts at |
|---|---|---|
| Total supply | 1,000 to 9,999,999,999,999 | 1,000,000,000 |
| Starting market cap | $100 to $100,000,000 | $3,000 |
| Team allocation | 1% to 50% | 10% |
| Team unlock period | 30 to 3,650 days | 365 days |
| Extra creator fee | 0% to 10%, in 0.1% steps | 0% |
Starting market cap is a pricing setting, not a deposit. Ascend converts it into your trading asset when you prepare the launch. The USD value of that asset can still move before you sign.
Tokens left after the team allocation go into the trading pool. Team tokens vest to the wallet that launches. Liquidity stays locked. There is no migration step and no on-chain governance.
A failed launch does not create a token. The network may still charge gas. Checking a pending transaction does not send a second one.
Trading pairs and payout assets
People buy and sell against the pair you choose. You can collect fees in that same pair, or in a different supported asset.
| Kind | Assets |
|---|---|
| Native | ETH |
| ETFs | SPY, QQQ, SGOV, GLD, SLV, INDA |
| Stocks | AAPL, MSFT, NVDA, TSLA, SPCX |
Trading pool assets pays you both currencies in the pool. Choosing a named asset pays you only that asset after settlement.
Listing an asset does not promise deep liquidity. Before a stock or ETF launch is prepared, Ascend checks that the asset is available and that a reference quote is within bounds. If that check fails, preparation stops and you can choose another pair.
Fees
Every trade pays a swap fee. The base fee is 1%. You can add an extra creator fee of up to 10%. The extra fee is fixed at launch.
| Recipient | Share |
|---|---|
| Creator | 0.5% |
| Ascend | 0.45% |
| Doppler | 0.05% |
You keep 95% of any extra creator fee. Doppler receives the remaining 5% of that extra amount. Ascend’s 0.45% share does not change when you add an extra fee.
The creator fee wallet defaults to the wallet you connect. It receives fees only. Team tokens still vest to the launching wallet, even if you send fees somewhere else.
Trade
On a live token page, choose Buy or Sell, enter an amount, and set a slippage limit. Presets fill 25%, 50%, or 100% of the balance you are spending. Slippage limits are 0.1%, 0.5%, and 1%.
Connect
Use the wallet that should receive the tokens or proceeds.
Review the quote
Ascend shows what you spend, what you expect to receive, the minimum you will accept, and estimated gas. A first trade may ask your wallet to approve spending.
Sign
Quotes expire. If the review times out, prepare a new one. Cancelling the wallet prompt does not submit a transaction.
A reverted trade does not move your tokens. Network gas may still be charged. Recent trades submitted through Ascend appear on the token page and in your account activity.
Earnings and vesting
Connect the creator fee wallet on the token page to see pending fees. Claim sends available earnings to that wallet.
If you chose a named earnings asset, you claim that asset after settlement. If you chose trading pool assets, you claim both pool currencies. Pending amounts can include fees that have not settled yet.
Earnings settings let you pause or resume automatic settlement. You can also recover a pending asset in its current form, instead of waiting for it to become your chosen payout asset.
Team tokens unlock over the vesting period you set at launch. Claim them from the same token page. Vested tokens, claimed fees, and a launch-time purchase stay separate from one another.
An optional dev buy happens in the launch transaction and goes to your connected wallet immediately. It is not part of the vested team allocation.
Your account
My account gathers the wallet you connected: ETH balance on Robinhood Chain, token holdings, claimable fees, vested tokens, and launches you have started.
- Overview shows holdings and claims. Fees and vesting stay listed separately from the tokens you can trade.
- Activity lists launches, trades, approvals, and claims submitted through Ascend. Pending items can be checked without sending another transaction.
- Your launches opens saved drafts and launch history. Update notes you save there stay private.
Profile settings are optional. A display name, avatar, bio, and links stay on your account. Avatars accept PNG, JPEG, or WebP files up to 1 MB.
What stays fixed
After a launch confirms, these choices do not change:
- Trading pair and earnings asset
- Total supply, team allocation, and unlock period
- Trading fee and extra creator fee
- Locked liquidity
Platform totals for launches, volume, and claimed creator fees live on platform stats. The manifesto is the short version of why Ascend exists.
